Like a fine spring water, Nonmonument positions two contrasting elements at point-blank range. The stoicism of the mech reminds us of the power of the machine. The worship of the machine. Long after our time will the machine stand tall. The glint may dull; the welds may rust; but the machine will live on. The fleeting timeline of the moth reminds us of the fragility of the spirit. The prison of the spirit. Like a moth drawn to a flame we are drawn to what we place worth in, though what we place worth in will ultimately fail us. The flame fades and we are left with darkness. Nonmonument itself is a true duality. At the end of society, at the end of politics, at the end of emotion, at the end of all life, the monuments we erect mean nothing." - Bruce Pilaf
